We shouldn't balance the budget on the backs of state employees and retirees. Nor should we shutout those that can't do for themselves. Excessive rainy day funds, beyond the 5-8% requirements should be returned to the tax payers for them to consider how they would spend. . . Maybe in more charitable means. Funding for Public Universities should be reflective of their graduation rates and the success of improving the lives of citizens of their state. Reduction of failures and drop outs must be accomplished. Working, volunteering, must be included in all public supported programs.
Government should spend first to improve the citizens status to reach they goals. Improve business climate to encourage investing in employment growth. Save for future needs. Educate the citizenship to be better citizens! Increase mental health services.
Taxes should be kept as the lowest possible levels, so citizens can provide for their dreams.

I support current public laws to protect a citizens rights to life, liberty and pursuit of happiness (as defined by that citizen). But personally, I believe in a loving God and the teachings of Jesus Christ, and therefore trust in this supreme to resolve these issues in everyone's individual minds and souls. I believe gender identity is determined at birth and if the individual pursuit of happiness leads them to changing this, then I believe the governments role is to protect this choice and support its inclusion into society after the change has occurred.
First and foremost, thank you for this opportunity for the citizens of our district to learn more about this election and their elected representatives. I ask for each voter to weigh their choices, and vote! I respectfully ask for that vote and their support. As per my website, ElectRayMartin.com, the three primary goals is to reduce taxation, reduce small business regulations, and to strongly support all state employees. I strong believe in public education, that religion in a persons life ensures their pursuit of happiness, the umion of marriage, pro-life, pro- 2nd amendment and limited government.
